Microsoft launches Azure Elastic Pools to boost SQL Capabilities

Microsoft has added a new option called SQL Azure Pools That Automatically resizes elastic cloud databases up or down as conditions warrant.

SQL Azure Database elastic pools Were Announced at the Microsoft Build conference last year, and finally hit last week General availability. The feature is designed for Businesses, and AIMS to help reduce the excessive costs That result from over-provisioning of resources in anticipating peak application usage. In Addition, the elastic pools can help boost application performance at times suffer from When They May Having not enough resource basis of available data During peak periods.

"Each of elastic data in the pool gets the resources it needs when it needs it, and Eliminates the complexity of managing the performance of personal databases," wrote Tracy Daugherty, head of the group program Microsoft SQL Azure partners.

Daugherty Explained That the elastic pools offer options for self-scaling can be configured to That the customer's taste."You can check the performance Assigned to a pool, add or remove database on demand elastic, elastic database performance and defines the overall cost without Affecting of the pool," Daugherty wrote. "That Means You Do not Have to Worry About managing the use of personal databases."

Also last week, Microsoft Said it is expanding the scope of Its customers streaming With the launch of Azure CDN Akamai, Which was previewed for the second half of last year. Microsoft Said to Akamai content delivery network Operates (CDN) Which Consist of 200,000+ servers in 120 countries. Previously Microsoft has released a high-end Azure CDN with Verizon last year Associated for infrastructure. But "now, by joining forces With Both Verizon and Akamai, Azure CDN Creates New Opportunities for our customers to Achieve more with cloud power - Allowing them to select the right CDN for the regions in Which They operate, and the load balance Between CDNs, "Said Sudheer Sirivara, associate manager at Microsoft Azure Azure CDN and media services.

In other news last week, Microsoft Also Launched Its New safe Resource Recovery Services for ITS Infrastructure Management Solution Manager Azure resources, Which Enables Administrators to deploy, monitor and manage cloud resources collectively, rather than individually. recovery services can be used to automate and unify Both the cloud and on-site backups, Microsoft Said.

Last but not least, Microsoft last week Said That Its New test Azure Drives Service is now online, offering preconfigured Images that allow customers to evaluate- offers from third party suppliers of Azure market in a secure environment, sandbox, fully free.
